In my photo you can see that this keyboard protector already prevents dust from getting under the keys. The only downside to this protector is that it changes the look of the keyboard. I can see the keys and backlight perfectly, but the keys no longer feel pitch black. For comparison, look at the opened sensor key. The texture is matte and dusts off easily. I can imagine that a shinier and clearer protector would be more difficult to clean since shiny usually means a stickier/dustier magnet. As for adhesion, it holds up well without the use of stickers that come with the protector. Again, I don't type upside down during a hurricane or sandstorm. Maybe I would use stickers in such situations? This protector fits my 2020 MacBook Air M1 A2337 perfectly and for me it doesn't seem to change the feel of the buttons. All in all, I'm glad I got it. .
