What I wanted to know before buying but couldn't figure out before installing: * These bulbs come with a plug on a bare pigtail. How you connect the 12V is up to you.* The dust caps on the back of the HID box have a 12V pass-through connection. The low voltage side of the ballast connects to the inside of this connector using 3/16 inch square spade connectors. Replace the dust cap. gone:* cooler gets hot. Doesn't melt plastic (yet), but holding it for more than a second is definitely unbearable.* They're slightly less bright than HID. They're about as bright as the HID warm-up time of 5-25 seconds from power-up. It's not bad, but definitely not as bright as I expected.* The lamp can be rotated within the mounting ring. Friction is enough, but no secure locking like with a set screw. * The cutoff is much better focused when the LED modules are pointing sideways rather than vertically. * It is possible to focus the shutdown by parking in front of a flat wall and gently rotating the bulb while the headlights are on, do not touch the radiator with bare hands or burn your fingers. Work with one light at a time and cover or block the other. The drawing on the wall should be a solid point of light with sharp edges; a sharp horizon rising from the side facing away from oncoming traffic. There shouldn't be a blurred horizon and no bright spot above it. This includes removing the alignment motor and breaking the direction of the headlight entirely. Plan to realign the headlights after focusing.* Installation took about 2-3 hours.* The connector on the LED bulb is keyless and fits any polarity. There are very small +/- marks on the plug and they were not swapped on the units I received. Remember that the negative lead has no resistance to chassis ground, so you can easily check it with a multimeter. Don't tilt.* The fans are definitely not quiet and make a slight hum in the cabin. It is not audible on the road, but can be heard when parked with the ignition off.* Airbag sensors are located near the installation site. Disconnecting the (-) battery cable takes only a few seconds, reducing the chance of accidental operation.
