the best tool of its kind

I look after a fleet of 140 class 7 wagons and change bearing shells an average of six axles per month. I haven't found a better tool for the task than the OTC 7180. I modified mine to remove the cups, which prevents the iron hubs from having deforming sliding impacts from a clogged straight drift. My only issue with the tool is that the roller pins that hold the jaws wear out fairly quickly. I replaced them with class 8 screws and have had no problems since. The OTC contains a full list of replacement parts and contact information with the tool. best made in the USA. God bless you.
