I have skin sensitivity to certain foods and certain smells can cause nausea or migraines. As a result, finding a deodorant that would work without making my armpits itchy like crazy, without causing a painful rash, or giving me nausea or migraines has been a challenge. Oh, did I mention I get hot flashes too, I tend to have hot sweat pits, and I live in a hot humid place. Aluminum based deodorants/antiperspirants make my armpits incredibly itchy (Dove Sensitive wasn't as bad as the others). .). As a result, I tried about 20 different deodorants ranging in price from $2 to $20. The hand and hammer worked, but the smell gave me a migraine. The volume worked, but it contains baking soda. That gave me a tipping point. Nourish Organic, Crystal and Coconut Oil work, but don't last all day in the hot summer months. I've tried clay based deodorants but they didn't work. Any deodorant that contains baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) gives me a painful rash. The rash gets worse as the amount of baking soda increases. There are two different types of Schmidt deodorants (no baking powder; baking powder). The product without baking soda is more expensive and does not have a colored spot on the top of the package. There are also flavored and unscented versions. Flavored ones are too strong. However, no smell - PERFECT! I've been using it for almost a month now. About half of that time is hot and humid weather. It really is odorless. It contains magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia) which seems great for my skin type. My armpits didn't itch and I didn't have a single rash. Plus, it lasts all day, even on hot days. It's a deodorant stick that works just like Dove, Secret or Degree. It is a white powder type deodorant. It's invisible and doesn't leave greasy stains on my clothes. I can't say enough good things about this deodorant to be honest. I really like it and I REALLY hope they keep releasing it.
