We thought this was the solution we were looking for to keep other animals away. Works well for your cats with magnetic collars. The problem is that the "plastic tab" that keeps it secure until the magnet comes is so cheap that a raccoon has no problem banging his head on it to gain access. We locked it for the night so the cats could get out but nothing got in and the raccoons that wanted in just rammed it in until they broke the plexiglass double doors in two and then went in. We replaced it (another $40) only to have the same thing happen to the second one. This will NOT prevent the raccoons from getting inside. Not spending another $40 on this door.
