I bought these for a 2016 Mustang about 18 months ago. I still have them in my car and they work perfectly. That being said, as others have pointed out, the packaging is inadequate. They are in a plastic bag inside the box. There are no problems with the box itself, but individual blocks can rub and hit each other during transport, which leads to a deterioration in workmanship. Mine didn't have any rust on the outside, but the finish was definitely ruined. If you're going to order them, don't expect a perfect finish. I was able to lightly polish mine with a top polish and the finish looked decent. These are lug nuts, after all, so I don't expect the finish to look as pristine as my paintwork and wheels. Nuts. I haven't seen too much in the threads themselves, and he's been in the threads in about 5 out of 20 of my threads. I was able to go over the inside with a light brush and then apply some brake cleaner and they were fine. To this day I don't see any rust and I've had no trouble getting them on or off, but it was still frustrating to see when they arrived. Of course, I live in the southern US, so rust isn't a big issue. I would be more concerned if I lived in a northern climate as I don't think the metal or plating is up to par in terms of corrosion resistance. I've cycled them on and off about 4 times for tire changes and light maintenance and they seem fine but the finish is starting to wear off a bit on the flanges where the wrench meets the nuts but it's not noticeable, unless you take them out and don't look at them closely. The wrench fits perfectly and the torque for my car is 150 ft/lb and I had no problem tightening them to spec. I deducted two stars for processing and packaging issues. For the price, I wouldn't need to polish the exterior and remove rust film from the carvings. I feel like if they were better packaged, maybe in some sort of foam tray or other way to separate them, the finish would be more acceptable. Additionally, Gorilla should consider placing a bag of silica-based desiccant in the box to keep humidity levels down. Before they got to me, I'm pretty sure they were exposed to moisture in storage. Still, I would expect a metallic finish or coating to protect them in such conditions. I could pay $50 for this quality.
