After buying the Bose Quite Comfort, then in my opinion the switch to the Sony XM2 model, then the switch to the Sennheiser Momentum for better sound quality I am glad to have switched to Lagoon ANC headphones now as there is no comparison when it comes to sound quality when comparing these 4 headphones against each other. Say what you will about the noise-cancelling and give Bose credit, but to be honest all of these headphones do an excellent job. Where you'll hear the biggest difference is in the sound quality. Out of these 4, I would put them first: Beyer Dynamic Lagoon ANC, followed by Sennheiser Momentum, third by Sony and fourth by Bose. The Bose just doesn't have the punch of the others, the sound feels dull. Sennas have a good sound but are a bit weak on vocals and bass. Sony has better bass in the mids but lacks vocals. Beyer takes care of all that and ticks off all categories. When you hear them, the chant comes from the front, not directly in front of you. The sound comes off the center and is clear, like listening to a pair of high-end speakers in stereo. Fantastic soundstage. The mids and bass don't overdrive the vocals but support them very well and when you're speaking bass they can be quiet and out of the way. I've listened to a few bass-heavy songs and they handle it best followed by Sony's bass-heavy songs. I know, the experts always say, Bose invented noise cancellation, and it's the best. It could be the best but with these 4 headphones all I can say is that I didn't see any benefit in noise cancellation from one to the other as I find them to be very close in noise cancellation. Beyer's sound quality is exceptional and you won't be disappointed no matter what you hear. I would always buy them. Also, these headphones do not pass the signal from the phone to the headset. I've had dropout issues walking between office towers in all but maybe BOSE. I didn't own BOSE long enough because I hated their sound. The other two, Sony and Senn, had moments of argument, as they walked between the same towers. Beyer Dynamic has 0 drops thanks to APTX and some other Bluetooth options.
