Review on Optimized Whirlpool WHEJL1 Central Filtration System with Enhanced Searchability by Mike Walters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to replace with a new one after 4 years

So, after 4 years of operation and a rupture in the line that was running filtered water for a week while I was away, the filter needed to be replaced. I went the same way with another one. What can I say, the exchange was very easy. I only had to replace the filter, two plastic clips and the power supply as all the connectors and connectors were already there. This took about 15 minutes. The hardest part was breaking off the two black plastic clips that hold the tube in the filter housing. There are about 6 in a new bag. I was also able to reuse the drain hose. It has a clamp clip that only needs to be removed and reset with pliers. When everything was ready, I pulled the (existing) T-valve back out to start filtering the new filter. **** Tip: Make sure the power cord is plugged directly into a 120V outlet. Otherwise the urgent VAC warning will appear and the filter must be cleaned manually by pressing and holding the cleaning button until the cleaning cycle begins. I first used a 3-in-1 splitter shared with another device and the VAC alert came up within a day. As soon as it was plugged directly into the outlet, the error disappeared and persisted.
