Review on Alpinestars Men's Chrome Sport Anthracite: The Ultimate Blend of Style and Performance by Josh Cox

Good for PEV rides (Unicycle, Eskate, EUC)

I wore this as a little extra protection while riding my unicycle without having to buckle my elbow pads. The lining doesn't feel bulky, the sweatshirt is comfortable and the shoulder protection is a bonus. The only thing is that the waist is a bit high for my liking but I understand that it's made for motorcycling and is made not to bunch up when you're on a bike so I can't comment on that complain. . Just a little warning for those like me who wear it for a different purpose. Haven't fallen in yet, but since it's designed for bikes, I'm sure everything will be fine. But definitely for warmer weather. I wore it in 40-45 degree weather with a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt underneath and still felt the wind and it's only about 15/16 mph on one wheel so if you're cycling it might not be warm enough. I haven't had to wash it yet, but I'm not entirely sure how? The washing instructions say to remove the pads before washing but I checked and the elbow pads and shoulder pads are sewn on so I don't know what to do with them? I hope if I throw it in the wash on the gentle cycle everything will be fine when the time comes. For almost $200 I hope I'm not doing any harm.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No assault rifle
