This thermometer exceeded my expectations and has some really nice features: *thin* probes only make tiny holes in the meat, temperature readings are *fast*, the extra wire probe makes frying that much easier easier and welding, and the thin wire is protected by a metal braid. The magnet on the back is strong enough to hold the rustproof parts of the microwave or oven door. Calibration in an ice water bath is easy. The boiling water temperature was within 100°C, as befits such devices. I will buy more for gifts.
