I watched DVDs, Blu-ray, UHD and 3D Blu-ray with this device. Nice pictures and sound. No questions. I watched it on a Samsung 65" UHD TV. The DVD upscaling was very clean, not sure if that's the player or the TV. ) and accurate. (There were no empirical tests to verify accuracy to check my impression.) While playback was paused, the image remained in 3D. The remote control is small but easy to use. The Play/Pause/FF controls are aligned with your fingertip in a natural grip. A raised battery compartment on on the back prevents the remote from slipping during use. There is no backlight or phosphor to illuminate the buttons. This is NOT a smart device. I currently see no purpose for the connection other than to update the firmware. My device is marked as LG, not as Dynastar.Changing region for content from another region is easy.Use the remote control to turn off the player and then press di e 1 , 2 or 3 for the area of the disc and then press the power button on the remote control. Yes. The player comes with a handy quick start guide in case you forget it.
