Review on Waterproof SeatShield UltraSport Seat Protector (Tan): The Original Removable Auto Car Seat Cover for Blocking Food, Spills, and Odors – Fits Perfectly under Carseats! by Lancy Rakesh

Today I tried the "UltraSport SeatShield". I was really looking for FW for this as it seems perfect! Went on a weekly hike up a local mountain in the Arizona heat. SeatShield is not working for me for several reasons. 1) Too small for my seats! A few centimeters shorter. However, I was able to lift the headrest cover a bit and got more "slack", so the length was ok. It simply covers the front of the seat. YMMV depending on your seat setup and the time you spend fiddling with the seat cover. Worse, the WIDTH was too small! It's beyond reclaim! Partly due to the large side bolsters on my seat, there's no real way to increase the width to cover the entire back of the seat! {Note: Seller says "EliteSport+ is 1 inch wider and 4 inches longer than UltraSport." 1 cm wider doesn't help. I need 4-6 inches wider! A 4 inch extension would help, but I mostly need help with the width.} You need to have an elastic strap or hook or something to hold it in place on the back of the seat! 2) Pleats down the middle of the back! high! So I sit back at the crease! Uncomfortable! Continue reaching under 1 and then to the other armpit to pull the fabric aside to smooth it out, only partially succeeding. I have to repeat this impromptu setup every time I walk in or out! With some effort I can twist to one side, pull and push my back sideways against the seat and repeat on the other side and I get smooth padding in the back of the seat, but as soon as I move it clumps back up! 3) The material seems to keep heat between my back and the waterproof lining. Even with the air conditioning on full blast, my back and seat are way too warm! Almost like a seat heater on a low level. When I got home after 45 minutes of driving and getting out, my back, shirts and bottoms of shorts were WET! That didn't happen with towels. However, the leather seat remained completely dry. Unfortunately, this product is uncomfortable! Maybe with a different seat/car and in colder climates it will work well for some people. At least part of the year. Too bad. I'll have to keep looking for a workable solution. I am returning it after one use.
