I have three winix 5500-2 here. If you think that's overkill, that's only because you didn't see my stovetop filters last summer and fall. When it came time to replace the filters on these air purifiers, I was ready to order the three original packs, but then decided to just buy the original pack. winix and one of those two Fette fake packages. Because science! The Fette paper filters felt so light that I ripped off my post scar to weigh them. A brand new OEM Winix weighed over 250g; These Fette imitations weighed just over 210 grams. These cheap Fette items also let in a ton more light. The folds per inch are the same to the point where I've had the patience to count them, but fettas let in significantly more light when held up to the sun. Only less filter material. Is it really a compromise on filter quality that we're trying to save pennies when the whole purpose of these things is to... you know... filter the air? I'm not impressed.
