I've always found my aquarium water to be fairly clean. After installing this filter thread in my HOB Filter, I was pleasantly surprised at how much cleaner the water became. I have a 55 gallon planted aquarium with about 55 native tropical fish and good filtration is important. The filter pad is easy to cut to fit my HOB filter and I rinse the pads with water during weekly tank water changes so I can typically use the filters up to 3 or 4 times before needing to replace them . I am currently using 2 layers of this filter thread for even better results. If clean water is important to you, get this thing.
