Shut down my Wi-Fi on my LAPTOP and unreliable. It was the original which was 4 years old. You need to remove the bottom or cover of the laptop and one screw that secures the Wi-Fi card. There are also two wires on the Wi-Fi card, white and black. it's a little tricky, but they snap in and out. just be careful and go slow. I don't want to bend the center pin/conductor. after the installation, mywifi was reliable again and faster than the original one. Recommend!
