So far I have installed it in my daughter's room since she has sensitive lungs, but after running it for a bit I noticed a strange smell.? I took it apart and am pretty sure it is a black charcoal filter. smell of plastic almost.? I'll give it a few days to see if it goes away, if not I'll have to return it. I don't want my daughter to breathe in that smell. Too bad, looks like the original! I hope this goes away. Does anyone else have this problem? I will keep the update if I have to return it. Edit: I returned it. The smell only got stronger. After removing the filter the smell is gone. Too bad because it fit just like the original but couldn't stand the weird smell.
