Great for school work

Great for my school desk. I'm always cutting paper and laminating things for students and don't always want to use a heavy duty cutter. This is perfect for my little squares and strips of paper. I wish it was a little easier to get the paper perfectly straight, but I usually press it against the edge, look for shadow marks and where the line meets the paper, and sometimes make a small dot and place the blade part right over it. That. I also do a "dry run" by moving the blade all the way without pressing it down, just to make sure it's lined up the way I want it. So far, so good! Laminate is a lot easier because you can actually see the line. I've had it for a few months now and I use it a lot and the blade is still good. I was expecting it to be boring now, but it isn't. If you have thicker paper or multiple sheets, I would recommend starting the blade in the center rather than the edges to avoid wrinkling or tearing your paper. Also the paper tore trying to fix the edges which I accidentally didn't cut tight enough. I've learned my lesson: if it's too close to the edge, it's better to use scissors than risk ruining the edge. I've pushed the limits a bit in terms of how many sheets I can cut at once. Most of what I put in at one time is 4 or 5 sheets or something. but do so at your own risk. Anyway, for the price it's freaking awesome and just what I needed!
