I wanted to buy a new key for around $4-500. Mine was shabby and ugly, plus it was an all black model. I decided to risk this product for under $20. I wasn't worried if it didn't work or I destroyed my key in the process, so be aware that if you screw something up, you could easily cost yourself $4-500 for a new key. The first step was to take a BMW OEM key case cutter and cut it open. They then had to carefully open the key fob without damaging the circuitry, and finally move the circuit board and battery. The BMW logo looks good, the buttons work great and the comfort access function is intact. Overall, this was one of the best upgrades for my F30, especially for less than $20! I gave 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because the key is not 100% tight. You can see it in the picture, it doesn't really matter because it doesn't bother me much and my key now looks and feels 100 times better. Looks no different than an M4 key!
