Review on Protective Power: Venum 'Kontact' Shin and Instep Guards for Maximum Defense by Adam Matthews

I received them in September and wore them several times. When I put them on for the first time, you could clearly see the huge gap between the foot and the shin. The first time I put them on, I knelt on someone in that exact spot. There is no protection there. What made me write this review is that last night I put them back on and kicked my opponent and bruised a bone. THESE DO NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT PROTECTION! Please buy something else that will really protect you. Spend the extra money so you don't get hurt. They are troublesome to put on and take off because they are like a big sock. After the round, it's like taking off a big sweaty sock that can stick to your foot and make it harder. They were comfortable (hence two stars instead of one) but I would also have preferred to be comfortable after sparring. and not limp with a bruised bone.
