In stock do not buy grandmothers product

straight up! whose grandma did that? I literally just put them on and it feels like someone took some high school football hip pads and wrapped some tough old sweatpants in a bit of thread and then added some Venom stickers. Bootleg style

Good pads but need adjustment

These are good pads for sparring and pocket work. One size fits all but the tag says L. I wish they were a little smaller but that's because I'm quite short (5ft 4in). The pads aren't preformed, so I put rubber bands on them to make them fold. around the lower leg and instep. There is also a large distance between the shin guards and the instep. Leaves part of the foot open for direct contact. Maybe I'll sew this part together. All in all a good buy. me and i wonder if they will fit, they will.

Suitable for infrequent or light sparring

I ordered these shin guards for my husband. He mainly practices BJJ but occasionally takes part in Muay Thai classes. I wanted to buy him shin guards but nothing too expensive as he doesn't MT all the time. In terms of price, they meet the requirements. Keep in mind that these pads are definitely for light sparring only. If you want stronger shin pads I would go to the Hayabusa. This is the brand I use and they are very well maintained but they are way more expensive. In my photos I'm wearing…

These pads don't protect anything

They just give a false sense of protection that the delusion will go away the first time your shin makes contact with something/someone. There is a small gap between the shin padding and the leg padding - that gap is the devil! There are other issues with the way they were made (threads coming loose, useless velcro, very tight knee area (no)), but nothing of which is really important because these are glorified socks. I don't know what they could be used for, but certainly not something that…

Great for Muay Thai training

I've been Muay Thai for about 4 years and love these shin guards. Here are a few things to keep in mind: - I'm male - I'm 6'2" tall - I weigh 265 pounds With all that, they offer what I'm looking for. Some things to look out for:- Velcro wears out over time - They start to smell, they can be washed in cold water and dried to dry - They are thinner than other shin guards I like that they are thinner but they also allow me to add extra discomfort to my partners This allows for a more realistic…

Good for drilling and easy to use.

I wear them for kickboxing and MMA. They fit well (5ft 4in) and have decent padding, but you'll still feel the impact on your foot if you hit or get hit with full force. They are non-slip and the padding took a couple of weeks to adjust to my feet. My only issue with these pads is that there is an open area just around the top of the foot near the ankle. A blow to that particular area can be very painful if you expect a shin guard to soften the blow. Overall I think this is a good affordable…

Great if you are looking for minimal protection

I have used Top King shin guards in training and they are of a much better quality than these. However, my issue was that they were TOO protective - ie. I couldn't train my calves or move as quickly wearing heavier shin guards (they also took a lot longer to put on due to the velcro straps). The Venum shin guards are inexpensive and allow for a good impact feel when kicking, but still provide a degree of protection to keep the shin from colliding with the shin. It definitely helped me with my…

Get something better for your money.

I received them in September and wore them several times. When I put them on for the first time, you could clearly see the huge gap between the foot and the shin. The first time I put them on, I knelt on someone in that exact spot. There is no protection there. What made me write this review is that last night I put them back on and kicked my opponent and bruised a bone. THESE DO NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT PROTECTION! Please buy something else that will really protect you. Spend the extra money so…
