Review on Protective Power: Venum 'Kontact' Shin and Instep Guards for Maximum Defense by Sammie Rodriguez

I have used Top King shin guards in training and they are of a much better quality than these. However, my issue was that they were TOO protective - ie. I couldn't train my calves or move as quickly wearing heavier shin guards (they also took a lot longer to put on due to the velcro straps). The Venum shin guards are inexpensive and allow for a good impact feel when kicking, but still provide a degree of protection to keep the shin from colliding with the shin. It definitely helped me with my MMA and kickboxing game. Good to have in your tool box. Excellent for the price. Cons: My only issue with the product design itself is the strap at the top. It doesn't protect the shins very well.
