Review on Meizigua Thermometer Instant Resistance Timeable Kitchen & Dining by Marina Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy-to-read digital display stays in hand/close to eyes.

I never used an instant read thermometer until last year and now I can't live without it. This takes the guesswork out of cooking and baking. I've used my thermometer so much that I've worn it out and looked for another. What made me pick up this thermometer is that the digital LCD can stay in my hand - close to my eyes so I can actually read it when the probe is in the flesh. The other stick version I had before made it a little harder to grill as I had to hold my hand over the fire while trying to read it. I always cook 7-9 steaks at a time, so I just pop it in each steak and pull them out when they're where I need them so I don't use the presets too often. And frankly, the presets are a bit annoying to have to use, which is why it keeps beeping when I'm making something with a higher temperature (like bread). But it says here it's for meat, so I can't get too excited about that. I'm glad the sensor is removable because it's easier to clean (solid devices are a little harder to clean because the electronics are intact). right next to the probe. I also use it for baking - great for sourdough bread!
