Review on ⏰ TIME TIMER MAX - Extra-Large 17-inch Visual Analog Timer for Kids Classroom Homeschooling and Teachers (Black) by Kathy Velez

I bought this timer for my very bright kids to use when we are working on school problems or doing behavioral interventions. The timer is great. Two interchangeable faces, a simple face that can be separated with markers but which allows your child to better understand, three small pins of different colors that you can also use to separate the time already shown on the screen. For example, when I do parenting training with my behavior analyst, I show the child that it's one o'clock, so all the clocks are red. On the front I attach a colored plastic marker (there is a small bar where the part goes) that divides the hour into 40 minutes and 20 minutes. He knows he can leave when the white portion reaches the plastic hand and I stay and get another 20 minutes to discuss the treatment plan, get feedback, etc. That way he understands the concept better. This clock was hanging on the wall the whole time. We rarely use any setting other than the one hour setting. I used it about three times a week for about two months. It just didn't work anymore. Always careful, always with special care, it just didn't work anymore. The red part (circle) stops moving from the 12 o'clock position, but you won't know until it's too late unless you look at it. Tried all settings from 5 minutes to max, no change. I assumed the batteries were dead, even if they were strong D-type batteries, so I took them out and put in new batteries. Bad luck. Time hasn't died yet, because if I move the red circle manually by turning the middle knob, there will be a beep at the end (when all the timers are white). But for some reason it just won't start. This timing is perfect and amazing, but if it lasts two months with very little usage, what's the point? We're $150 short and we have nothing to show. I'm probably no longer in the return window. I have lovesickness.
