$100 may seem like a lot for nuts but it's worth it compared to the price of good alloy wheels. I have used cheaper kits which have discolored, rusted and scratched the rims. These McGards don't have any of those problems. The base rests against the rim and then does not rotate, which prevents damage to the paintwork. Most alloy wheels are painted to resist corrosion. Once this coating is damaged, salt and other harsh chemicals can get under the coating and strip it off the wheel, resulting in unsightly dirt. If you care about your drives, buy them.
