I chose this model because I didn't like the idea of using this type of vents. How is it? All is well. The user guide is completely useless, but figuring out how to install it isn't that hard. I uploaded some photos as a warning to other people. When choosing where to place it, make sure there is enough free space on the mount so you can rotate your phone freely. I listened to the chinglish user guide (my mistake) and tried to find a flat install location instead of the most convenient install location. Now the magnetic mount holds the phone perfectly, but I have limited left/right room to actually rotate the phone so I can see maps and such. So please choose the perfect spot to place this, then have a friend hold it in that spot while you place your phone on it and move it around to make sure you have enough free space have to rotate your phone screen. clear. Other Notes: Attaches to car dashboard with 3M foam tape. Holds up really well, but for me the Las Vegas heat is starting to take its toll and the mountain is starting to loosen up a bit. If you live in cooler areas, you probably don't need to worry about the heat melting the tape. The magnetic mount is really strong and reliable. Overall: I recommend it to friends, but I always tell them to think carefully about the installation to get the most out of the phone mount.
