Great idea, but does NOT replace regular brushing. I wish the mouthpiece was longer so it could reach my molars. Even if I move it back and forth, the mouthpiece is not enough. I only use it at night before bed. My gums have receded significantly and regular brushing twice a day is damaging my gums and soft enamel. It is very gentle on my gums and teeth and cleans the surface of my teeth and the gum line so I can continue to have clean, healthy teeth. I haven't used the whitening aspect of it so I can't offer my opinion on whether it whitens teeth. I have used regular toothpaste and foam toothpaste. I have to say that the foam works much better than regular foam. I floss before I do that too.
