I tried making a hacksaw with these pins, one on each end of the blade to keep the blade in the frame. They fit nicely in a half inch hole in the wooden frame. I cut them to length, drilled a 1/4" hole half an inch from the tip and stretched the hole slightly to easily fit a 27" long, 1 1/2" wide blade. After doing that After trying the finished product I found them to hold the blade well, rotate easily when tension is released and work well for my use.A washer must be used between the tab and the wooden frame to prevent splitting of the blade prevent wood.
