The "Check Engine" light came on recently. We got scared and drove the car to dealers and got two different opinions. Opinion 1 was that we need to replace the entire gearbox and opinion 2 that we shouldn't do anything about it. Replacing the entire gearbox is very expensive. Doing nothing is also scary. We then looked around for an affordable scanner. Luckily we got hold of this Nexas NL100 which is very reasonably priced and clearly let us know about the torque converter issue. After receiving the diagnostic result, we were able to negotiate a much better solution with the dealer. Really appreciate this scan tool. In short, the NL100 is a valuable tool at a great price.
