I am a graphite artist. I have sets and sets of crayons. Every pencil artist dreams of a jet black graphite pencil that is made out of real graphite, not coal or charcoal. I ignored them for a long time because a set of decent crayons costs at least $15. These are the pens I was looking for. 12B turns black like marker and all graphite. They work like Japanese pencils, are about a notch softer, and feel smooth for up to 6 hours. I'm seriously considering buying a few packs before the seller comes around! A serious note. The rating refers to one apartment only. Changing pens all the time is really annoying. Less serious. The black is classy and elegant, but the stack of black pencils in the unlit part of my desk is hard to see. 5 stars anyway.
