The stabilizer itself works well with the Sony a6500. Fast firmware updates (Remember to use the USB-C port in the middle of the case, not the charging port at the bottom). The controls are smooth, but the dial is too easy to adjust, allowing the motor speed to change unintentionally. The changes are small, but if you've had a perfect frame setup this could pose a problem. The gimbal weighs 2 pounds, the top half is metal and the bottom half is plastic. Plastic seems less durable than metal, but somewhere there has to be a cost saving. Overall I think this is a great stabilizer for beginners. Reading some online guides before using it helped a lot. I gave the rating 3 stars because the gimbal was shipped with the gaskets cut off. As far as I can tell this pack was a professional kit and the focus motor system was removed from the kit. The phone mount and Arca Swiss plate are still in the box. These items are not included for hanging only.
