My wife's HP laptop had its WiFi card replaced under warranty and the home network kept disconnecting. . I was happy to hear from a local tech that a wireless USB adapter might help. I have studied dozens of available ones. I was willing to pay a little more for this than the cheaper models: dual-band support, decent throughput figures, a device that doesn't stick out too much or break, and a 100% stable network connection with our Netgear Nighthawk wireless router X6 on another level in our house. He has achieved all goals. The photo shows how far it sticks out next to the wireless USB mouse adapter. The installation instructions were a little vague, assuming they would be automatically detected by Windows 10. It wasn't. HP has an optical drive so I used the install CD which was pretty easy. So I cannot vouch for how the installation will go if you download the driver online if you don't have a CD/DVD drive. I gave 4 stars for ease of installation because it took a little longer than I expected. 4 stars for durability because it's been in use for such a short time and it's too early to tell. 5 stars for the price because it does what it says on the tin! Inamax Direct shipped it immediately and it arrived in perfect condition. I would do business with them again anytime. I am 100% satisfied with the seller and the adapter.
