I bought this set of 5 dishwashing brushes to replace my existing brush. These Ikea brushes have two (and only two) things: they're inexpensive (I paid $8 for 5) and they have a hard edge at the top that can be used for scraping. To me, this is a must-have feature, and many brushes don't have it. But that's where the positives end. The handle is too thin and short, causing my hand to cramp soon after use. You need a thicker grip with a difference between where you place your hand and the neck of the hand. The shape of the handle is also strange, the arc does NOT help - the head is too small, so it is more difficult to clean large items. The large head makes it easier to clean items. The bristles are too far apart. So when you pump soap on them, the soap goes right between them and hits the back of your head. And then it falls out when you try to wash things. Thicker and denser bristles are needed to hold the soap better. The bristles are also too hard. This can be useful when deleting some items, but makes things more difficult in other cases, so it's a roll. Overall I am very dissatisfied with this purchase. I won't be returning it as it was only $8 and I'm sure I can find a use for these brushes in side projects, but I definitely won't be using them as my main dish brushes. I wash dishes several times a day and need something that is comfortable, does its job well and is durable. Ikea brushes will NOT fit!
