How to reset a vacuum gauge ABN

Many reviews have mentioned that the resulting gauge will not read zero. The product manual says the gauge can be adjusted by removing the cap, but doesn't explain how. I received mine today and in fact the sensor wasn't at zero. After careful inspection, I was able to remove the cover and zero the sensor. Then I compared the pressure at 15 with a manometer. Both show almost 15 inches. close enough for me First remove the rubber cover from the back of the sensor. It fits well but will come loose. edges of the plastic cover and gently pry it out of the metal case. After that you can access the adjustment screw on the front of the sensor. Choose a flathead screwdriver that gets as close to the screw as possible since it will move. Reassemble the sensor. The plastic cover snaps back into the metal case, but some alignment and care is required. solid construction and I expect it to be just great. The large dial, rubber case, and built-in hook are all plus points for my needs. I hope this helps those who have purchased one from scratch or are hesitant to order due to this issue. Paul
