I have never owned and used an immersion blender, always settle for a traditional blender and just deal with the inconvenience and the mess. Recently, maybe due to the fact that I cook more at home, I decided to give it a try. As always, Revain's reviews of numerous hand blenders have been mixed, with an overall rating of 5-7% 1-star, with complaints such as limited power and difficulty changing different attachments. Then I stumbled across reviews of Braun's new Multiquick line of mixers. The first thing I noticed about the MQ7035 was that there weren't any user ratings below 3 stars - I mean when does that happen? This product costs more than "comparable" blenders, but I was drawn to what seemed like a more reliable tool that I didn't have to struggle with or go back to. I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. Disassembling and assembling the blender is not difficult. There's added strength—my Roasted Tomato Plum Pasta Sauce, which had the tomato skin intact, was mashed in no time. No spattering was detected. Cleaning was easy. I haven't bought these for other attachments but looks like they may come in handy in the future and like the blender attachment itself they seem to be built to last. If there are any issues, rest assured that I will revise my reviews and write an appropriate review. I'm glad I trust the consistently positive user reviews and I'm happy to give my five stars in the box. For those who care, the blender is made in Romania.
