I am buying hoping to fix the power windows on my old Ford truck. After getting it I watched a few YouTube videos on how to install this and let me tell you this is a serious NIGHTMARE! In short, these things shouldn't really be replaced! Anyway, as an aside, I found out that the root of the problem with the OEM is that the small nylon bearings in the door gear deteriorate over time. What is really needed is to replace those nylon bearings. However, getting these bearings is just as much of a nightmare, but some resourceful YouTubers are coming up with creative ways you can fix them without OEM bearings. brilliant! So I took the gear part and in fact the nylon bearings were torn apart. I made one of the creative solutions out of some old barn nuts and a viola! Works like clockwork. The window works perfectly and I didn't have to completely disassemble the door to fix it. I highly recommend checking YouTube before 1) attempting to replace this lever, 2) buying this lever, as they are likely all nylon bearings. However, if you need the whole arm, expect it to be VERY hard work. That arm was strong and would have gotten the job done, but it wasn't necessary.
