Review on ReadyLift 66 3085 New Leveling Kit by Tony Korek

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well made, serves its purpose.

I bought this model over the cheaper RC option because 1) I liked that it was aluminum instead of plastic and 2) it's reversible if I want to go back to stock can - does not require shear bolts on existing shelving. Installation is not easy. If you don't have a lift and pneumatic tools, it's a bit of work. There are good videos online showing you what to do, but the few steps are really tedious. Probably the hardest part is aligning the bottom strut bolts through the spacer and tapping them into the threads. But it's doable if you're a semi-experienced mechanic. Because the jack and jacks work alone, it took about 4 hours on both sides. The price difference between this and the competitor is negligible, I think that's the way to go. The finished work looks good. It's listed as a 2.25" level kit, but I've measured actual lift up front at about 1 7/8" so it still has about 1" of trail on a 2014 4x4 Sierra Crew. It's not a dead level, but it looks good to me. .

Pros
  • Shocks, struts and suspension
Cons
  • Slightly torn
