I'll tell it right away: although I hope it survives, the kit was not purchased as the most robust answer. The primary use is for flight sims for everyday use. Stick play, in my opinion, is a characteristic of the mechanism that is resolved by a dead zone and calibration. For smooth control, the spring and "cups" are designed in such a way that there is no locking between "zero" and the maximum. Want a precise zero? Put the strongest spring in place. People that comment about how worthless axles on "twist" are obviously haven't dealt with the ideas of "screw pitch" and "mixture" or haven't even seen trimmers in person. There aren't many "twists" for a civilian pilot, especially if they don't solely fly the A320. The stick is quite large. Just enormous. Since I have small hands (I am a woman, after all), even with the lining that is included, my thumb does not extend to the upper hut while my hand is resting on the "platform". This is NOT a drawback because you can hang items like infrequently used trimmers or autopilot mode switches on it because it is well shielded from inadvertent clicks. In general, ergonomics is a matter of personal preference. Everything works for me, even though some elements are not present and I have no idea how they may be. However, I'm used to taking my hand off the throttle and flicking the flaps or spoilers switch. I would prefer at least two "scrollers," but one, in conjunction with the ore's "rocker," works well. About RUDE, a side note. It makes use of an odd tensioner that acts like a liquid shock absorber and thickens while kept still. I had no idea at all what the regulator did on the side. No, but it does so in an odd way. Cruising on a type without autothrust will be a lot of fun because it is hard to tighten such that the ore doesn't move at all by its own weight at places near to the extremes. What does the marking on the basis of ore suggest, by the way, if you do not heed Wolfgang B.'s advise and put the dead zone at the top 10%. Let's watch how it performs. For that much money, it's sufficient.
