Review on 📻 Tram 1411 Broadband Discone/Scanner Base Antenna by James Lesley

I bought this antenna after Christmas to install a scanner (Christmas present) in my Ham Shack. I also wanted to be able to use it with the old CB I had. not used for many years due to lack of antenna. I chose this particular antenna because it can receive and transmit HF (CB), VHF and UHF frequencies. I installed an antenna switch so it can be easily switched between my CB, Uniden scanner and RTL SDR pan adapter receiver. That works great. The only issue I had was that when I originally received the package a part was missing, but this was quickly rectified by exchanging it through the Revain return program. I received a replacement within a week and put it in the garage over the weekend. Since the CB is stock tuned and not illegally tuned, the antenna easily handles 4W in AM mode and 12W in SSB mode. However, I have to raise the antenna because the metal roof of the canopy it is installed on interferes with my scanner's reception in the 2 meter range. But that's not an antenna problem, it's my mounting problem, I need a longer mounting pole. disturbs the reception of my scanner in the range of 2 meters.
