Really pleasantly surprised by the price. At $2.50 for a lip balm, this is incredibly good value. I ordered 4x plum. I don't like light shimmery lip products so the multi pack wouldn't work for me and I'm a white female with very fair skin and black hair so the color of the raisin looked too dark. I prefer red and deep pink, and the plum color looked amazing. That's great. The color payoff is not purple at all. It is a dark burgundy red, although transparent and therefore not saturated. It's very similar to Burt's Bees Zinnia Tinted Lip Balm but is half the price. It's buildable. So if you want to go darker, you can. It doesn't really transfer onto cups or mugs, it leaves a slightly reddish-pink residue and an oily mucus akin to lip balm, but it's not uncomfortable or difficult to wash off. I use the travel mug all day and it hasn't ruined it - a big plus. It looks very natural - similar to a lip stain - and is easy to apply. Can be smudged like a lip balm without a mirror, but looks like a thin, transparent lipstick. As for glitter: For those who see mica on the ingredients list and panic, don't do it. The plum color is not super glossy or shiny. It's as glossy as any other lip balm, with just a little tint. It tastes great - a light mint flavor with hints of dark chocolate (seriously!). It's not overly sweet and doesn't smell of clay and minerals like other natural lipsticks can sometimes smell. This is a great choice for everyday lip balm if you don't like cupcake-flavored lip products. It's quite moisturizing but I don't think I'll be using it at night - it really brings out the color. so it will probably end up on your pillowcase. Stick to your regular lip balm at night.
