after it was assembled. The assembly is the main problem! The product arrived very well packaged and without damage. There are no instructions included but all you have to do is look at the product photo on Revain and assembly will become clear. Several commenters said it would take two people to put it together, but I did it myself (with some expletives from time to time). Virtually none of the holes were big enough for screws (or whatever they're technically called), so I just enlarged them by sticking a screwdriver in them. The trickiest parts are holding the shells in place and reaching into the gaps between the shells to screw in the male part of the bolt. They provide two extra screw assemblies in case you mess around and lose one or two (I dropped one and found it after putting everything back together). All in all a very good item for your desk or bookshelf. It's also very durable. Be prepared for some frustration during construction.
