For Christmas I received a very nice new set of perforated metal plates with a couple of black painted hooks and accessories that fit into the slots in the perforated plate. Well I couldn't use some of them as they didn't go through the holes in some of my tools. Well that left me with some of my old silver metal hooks. I think I could live with that, but thought it would be better if all the hooks were black. So I decided to get them and try them out. In fact, they were designed for traditional perforated plates rather than thinner metal plates. I suspect they won't wobble in these traditional plates due to the shape of the tines. They move a little in metal plates, but not as much as the old metal plates. The slightly curved lower prong makes it difficult to insert the hooks. I'm sure they would be even more difficult to fit into thicker panels. They can also be difficult to remove. I pulled out a hook and ended up breaking one of the prongs. So I'm not sure if they will carry much weight. Luckily what I'm hanging isn't hard. I was a little surprised that these hooks are slightly larger in diameter than my old metal hooks. So I still had the problem that some of my tools didn't fit these hooks. I was able to drill a few holes to attach them, but I still had to use some of my old hooks. It was disappointing.
