I rarely write reviews but this lamp deserves to be advertised. We bought it to replace a pitifully weak ceiling fan that was above the dining table. Installation was easy as the unit comes with a third-party cable retention device, allowing one person to easily complete the installation. All of the components that make up the fixture's mounting ring/base are of lightweight steel construction, not plastic, ensuring a tight fit to the existing ceiling. After switching on, the illuminated surface ensures an even light output. a smooth and well-balanced shutdown with no bulbs/elements in the diffuser. The light selector switch (change of temperature/color of light) is located on the base plate and must be selected before completing the installation. Simply set the switch to the desired light output/color level before attaching the light to the mounting ring. Note. If you want to change it later, you need to rotate the bracket to remove it from the bracket. a ring that allows access to the switch underneath. Not a big deal, no tools required, but worth mentioning nonetheless. This flashlight's ultra-slim profile is a welcome feature, and its overall build quality is very impressive. I would buy one again in a heartbeat. and can do it easily, because such high-quality finds are not so common in this price range.
