Review on ZYLISS Pizza Cutter Wheel Slicer by Bill Pulse

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not as good as before

Old version blade was much easier to remove. This blade is pretty hard to remove and it's just an accident. It takes a lot of force to push the blade out of the case, so you can either pinch the blade and pull (with the sharp edge toward your palm) and hope the blade doesn't cut your hand, or you can insert something like this Insert chopsticks into the hole in the blade and push outward, which can dull the blade if it hits something. Sharp movements and sharp objects are not a good combination. The plastic case is also not as durable as the old model. Feels very plastic. Due to the danger of removing the blade for cleaning, I intend to leave the blade in the case and use the dishwasher. I hope that the spray penetrates sufficiently. In fact, I intend to use my old one as much as possible. Of course it's broken, but even broken, it's much safer and more enjoyable to use. Frankly, this model poses a safety hazard. If you need to remove the blade, try wrapping the exposed portion in a towel and pulling on it. I don't often take the time to complain about a purchase. I think this is only the second negative review in my life.

Pros
  • Ergonomic plastic handle for maximum control
Cons
  • So-so
