I've run many half marathons, USMC marathons and sprint triathlons. I've ridden the Mizuno over 1300 miles and haven't backed down in over 10 years. At the same time, the costs are simply no longer justified. I've seen this more economical pair and without a doubt researched everything I buy over $50. The fit is a bit more "floating" than I'm used to from Mizuno. I expected more fit and comfort. In general, they are tall, with a rather nice toe, but with a large heel. However, my first hack was quick! (My last run was on 300+ mile Wave Riders). The first 10-15 miles were pretty good, but after the next 20 miles I can only assume the inside has worn down a bit and I got big blisters on the outside and bottom of both thumbs. The wounds match perfectly with the seam on the inside of the boot. So disappointed. I don't know what to do next because testing new shoes is work. I hoped to continue working on my old reliable car. Now they become my sneakers. PROS: Good support for a neutral runner. breathable and comfortable sock CONS: short laces. too much heel support. bad stitching.
