Review on Jura 71445 CLEARYL Filter Cartridge by Daniel Mandal

May not be Clearyl Filter 71445

I ordered Jura Clearyl 71445 filters but got Claris blue filters instead. I know both fit in my car and I've used both, but if I wanted to use a Claris filter I would save a few bucks and just order a Claris filter. Other than that, I don't really know the difference between the two, other than that Jura support told me that the Claris blue filter doesn't work in my J80. I'm guessing the guy was just covering up to not hold me liable by demanding a fix if my coffee maker fails. I don't blame him, I'm also cautious and insist on using the correct filter or the filter recommended by Yura because I don't want to replace a $2000 coffee maker in a few years. The filter that arrived was a Claris bag but the barcoded Revain label said Clearyl 71445 so you may not get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Removes large amounts of Chlorine, Lead, Copper and Aluminum from water
Cons
  • Not as thick as other filters
