Review on Mr. Gasket 2470B Blue Domestic Thermocap - Premium 13 PSI Cap by Fritz Marrero

I bought this after needing to replace my Cherokee's engine. The new engine temp gauge was no longer accurate so I bought this cap as my mechanic's cap worked fine. MY NO. It didn't fit properly (leaked) and the temperature scale never showed above 90 degrees Fahrenheit when the true temperature was 185 degrees. Rather than just trying a different one, I went with the new Bosch backup engine temperature sensor, which is completely isolated from potential trouble spots after the engine has been turned off. I am very happy with it. This radiator cap might be fine, as could my mechanic's cap. But it broke for me. What can I say?
