I can't really appreciate the scent because I'm not a desert tortoise. I read on the official website that this is a pre-approved all-inclusive desert attack healthy food. I received it yesterday. My ID is very picky. He doesn't eat flowers, which most delinquents find a treat. He loves romaine lettuce very much. I put some pellets on his tray to see if he was interested. He wasn't interested. I then soaked the granules in water for 60 seconds to mash them and spread them over the romaine. He ate everything, in fact I offered him second helpings. It made my day when I found out I could achieve perfect nutrition with a single bottle and something as simple as Romaine. I am delighted with this product!
