Pros:–Bought four pack of the advertised 350 lumen lanterns with yellow filters, and a three pack rated 146 lumens with 30 clear LED bulbs. Cannot see much difference between light output and coverage area between either brand, so be careful not to heavily rely on the numbers game. The yellow cover casts a slightly warmer light and is easier on the eyes, whereas the exposed LEDs are brighter white.–Purchased seven lanterns total from two vendors, all arrived operational with no obvious defects.–This vendor shipped four lanterns including 3 alkaline batteries each, each canister was bubble wrapped, packed in individual boxes, then placed in a larger single cardboard box–good packaging.–The other vendor shipped three lanterns, bubble wrapped, placed in a very thin plastic bag, no batteries--not ideal packaging. At least ebay included air pillows.–Living in hurricane country with numerous summer time power outages, bought these to supplement use of a halogen flashlight.–Gifted one of each type to my sister and brother-in-law for their feedback about my purchase because they live in a rural area.Cons:–What a numbers game: 350 versus 146 lumens, not based on the light output I’m seeing. IMHO, lighting is OK, not "very” bright as stated in numerous reviews. Was expecting better coverage, especially from the 350 lumens lantern. Light output minimally fills my darkened bedroom, but at least would not have to enter/exit a completely dark room, and could navigate the area without tripping in the dark during an overnight power outage.–The canister size, shape, handles, battery compartment and bottoms look identical, appearing to be from the same mould with nearly identical performance, and the difference being vendor logos, packaging and distribution. Based on my purchase, forget vendor advertising hype and enhanced pics in their ads. Base your purchase primarily on cost per unit, with five bucks being maximum per unit on the high end, and color preference.Other Thoughts:Inner city lighting makes it difficult to judge how effective these lanterns are in a campground setting, or a moonless walk along the beach. Will leave one in my car to test in other lighting settings later.Either LED type is acceptable for my intended purposes, and consider them a supplement to, not a replacement for, a standard halogen flashlight.
