Review on 🔑 Dorman 924-717 Ignition Lock Cylinder Review: Ideal Replacement for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Models by Dan Sturm

I have a 2008 Ford Explorer and was having trouble turning on the skylight while driving and the "DOOR AJAR" light would not come on. After some research I decided on this article, as well as the bouncer ignition lock 924-867. The swap took about an hour to replace both. Part of the replacement time is related to the instructions showing a clip that should be on the back of the cylinder that was not included in the replacement parts. The original cylinder didn't have them so after a few minutes of searching I found that this clip is not used on my car. Aside from this issue, the guide works fine. There are some helpful videos online that will show you just how easy repairs can be. After the repair I have no more problems with turning on the light. Also, I noticed that the ignition lock is more stable and the key no longer dangles in the ignition lock as much. .
