Great for spares

Worked great, instructions were so-so but if you're like me watch a lot of instruction videos. I hooked up a new cylinder to my key and no problems, it took about a week. I have a 2004 F150 Lariat, I couldn't just poke the hole to clear the cylinder, I had to remove the top and bottom covers on the steering wheel and trim underneath, take out the screw holding the computer chip reader and remove the reader to get to the exit hole. useless owner's manual for my 2012 Ford Mustang

The original ignition lock cylinder on my 2012 Ford Mustang failed due to a broken cylinder pin. It would cost me hundreds to fix, so I decided to do it myself. I bought this because the Revain app recommended this cylinder would fit my car; However, the installation was very painful. I have a 2008 Ford Explorer and was having trouble turning on the skylight while driving and the "DOOR AJAR" light would not come on. After some research I decided on this article, as well as the bouncer ignition lock 924-867. The swap took about an hour to replace both.
